We are facing a profound change in what a health center should be, both in its architecture and in its interior design, spaces and workflows. A center with a parametric design, which must respond both to changes in the development of healthcare, and to new healthcare processes and workflows.
We can no longer think of hospitals as "health residences". Hospitals must be high-resolution, efficient and effective centers, control centers for home care for their patients; centers specialized in certain pathologies, centers capable of networking with other hospitals and with primary healthcare centers. They must be centers capable of evolving according to the health needs of the population, with the capacity to adapt to new health challenges and advances in the treatment of patients and their health.
We also need high-tech primary care centers with diagnostic resolution capacity, and this must be achieved through a determined and complete integration of communications, processes and functions with hospitals. No barriers. Hospitals must be complemented with health centers and vice versa.
The new hospital must be accessible and inclusive, built with healthy materials, self-sufficient, capable of reducing energy demands using renewable energies. An intelligent hospital in which the care and management computer systems are integrated, taking advantage of the new possibilities of Big Data processing and the application of Artificial Intelligence. A hospital designed for the robotization of activities, processes and tasks, supporting the development of medical activities; a functional environment, but without losing the aesthetic demands that create a pleasant, humane, comfortable and safe environment.
For this event we have invited those responsible for healthcare infrastructures from the main Autonomous Communities in Spain and top-level experts, to discuss the issues exposed, learn about the scope of the decisions adopted, the achievements reached and future challenges.
